Teacher: Ale Armellini
AI changes everything
We invite all University of Copenhagen educators to join us for an open lecture on AI’s role in teaching, learning, and assessment, drawing on insights from the University of Portsmouth, UK. The lecture will be led by Prof. Ale Armellini, an established international reference point in the areas of pedagogic redesign for learning and assessment. Ale is Dean of Education and Digital Innovation at University of Portsmouth.
Incoming UCPH policy states: Starting in autumn 2025, generative AI will be allowed at UCPH in all forms of examination, including take-home assignments, BA projects and theses with “all aids permitted” as standard. As UCPH prepares for its 2025 AI policy shift, this session will align with KU’s digital literacy model, emphasising AI’s role across academic practice. It will provide practical insights for shaping responsible and effective AI-informed teaching strategies.
The session will explore how AI is shaping assessment practices, what formats are possible within KU’s existing infrastructure, and what future changes may be needed. It will also consider AI’s impact at different levels, from individual teaching to university-wide strategies, and how educators can navigate this transition effectively.
Ale is joining UCPH to lead a co-creation workshop with students, educators, learning consultants, and business case representatives on innovative ways to integrate AI into the Climate Solutions course. The workshop is funded by the UCPH Teaching Development with a Digital Focus grant.
