Abstract: The AI Tutor project aims to revolutionize the learning experience in the “Programming and Problem Solving” course by developing an advanced AI tutor. Building on our existing online TA support system, this project will expand its capabilities, inspired by the groundbreaking work of Liu et al. The proposed AI tutor will incorporate a course-specific dialogue system designed to guide students through the complexities of programming and problem solving without providing direct solutions, thereby promoting deeper understanding and independent problem-solving skills.
